HostnFly has been revolutionizing the hospitality sector for 6 years by enabling people to rent out their accommodations without any constraints.

Our aim is to provide turnkey rental management services to clients, while ensuring maximum income through a unique pricing algorithm developed in-house.

Our mobile application and internal tools, coupled with technologies that automate all tasks (including taking photos, managing keys, inventory, cleaning, and maintenance), offer our customers and partners an optimal experience.

With over 10,000 apartments under management, a €9M series A funding, and a leading position in the market, our goal is to double our housing units under management in France within 1 year and become the European leader in the sector. To achieve this, we are looking for talented individuals to join our team of 50+ employees in Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Marketing, Product, and Tech!

Job Description

You will join the team to build a new stack to support our next products. Along side a business shift we aim to split services to provide the best experience and work environment to fulfill our new partnership model. Within the tech team you will help to build a new team of developers.

The tech team is composed of 10 people, building solutions to provide the best experience and optimize revenues for our client. Back-end Ruby developers, back-end python developers, data scientists, data analyst, product manager work together with strong and cores values. We build an organization allowing evolution through an expertise track or a management track. We promote expertise sharing within the whole team, and like to share feedbacks. We will directly report to the CTO and work closely with our Director of Engineering.

Your role

As a Senior Developer Ruby, you will contribute to our portfolio of user-centered software products. You'll have a hand on the whole value chain of software products : all the way from their definition with business stakeholders to their delivery and operation in production. For the next months your first projets will be more back-end oriented, and some front-end maintenance.

You will have a great autonomy and ownership, both technical and organizational, as well as support from the team (peer reviews, mentoring). You will help to build our new products, sharing best practices, bringing support if needed.

Our stack

We believe in the "right tool for the job": we're not dogmatic, and recognize that different sets of problems require different technical solutions. With this in mind, we're trying to sustain a level of coherence in the ecosystems we are working with.

Since 6 years we work with a monolith system structure, but along side a business shift we aim to split services to provide the best experience and work environment to fulfill our new model.

Preferred Experience

  • A "product builder", the ideal candidate for the position can demonstrate successful experience in contributing to the creation, delivery and maintenance of a software product used in production. We will be looking for sensitivity to user experience and appetite for understanding business stakes.

  • You’re able to demonstrate technical skills with our technological stack (Ruby, RoR, AWS).

  • We're not looking for someone that has experience with every specific brick of our technology stack, but rather someone that can and enjoys picking up new challenges and can argue his ideas.

  • Finally, the ideal candidate will have a good written and oral english and can communicate clearly with both technical  and non-technical audiences. We are looking for someone with a good software engineering culture and for whom humility and transparency.
